Nope, no excuses as to why its taken me this long to write a Cancer Warrior Blog. Lazy? More than likely. No ambition? Another good excuse. Either way, there are a few items of good and bad news that need to be mentionded.
First off … at long last, my numbers began coming down for first time in weeks. The first drop was nearly 300 points, and the second drop was 177, which put me under 1,000 points for the first time in I don’t know how long. For a while it felt like things were getting better. The pain level was dropping and I felt pretty darned good.
Then on to bad news. There was a turn around in the pain level. Having problems with stairs and with normal every day levels. Still don’t know what’s happening with the infection. Supposed to see Dr. Webber and Dr. Brummitte next Wednesday. Hopefully they will have some sort of answer. Some major swelling in the legs … which tend to to be painful.
Got the wound vac and that baby is sucking up all the excess gook from the wound. Sure beats constantly changing that bandages, which was just plain gross. I should be finishing the last of my antibiotics on Tuesday, September 2nd. Keep your fingers crossed that this did the trick.
And remember to repeat after me …“YOU ARE A CANCER WARRIOR”
