Okay, I’ve been feeling a little cocky the last two treatments in that I haven’t had any discernible reactions. Now? Not so sure. Had the third treatment last Friday and promptly by Monday I was feeling like crap. Flu-ish, fatigue, joint aches … centering on my left hip, of course. I’ve had crash and burns before and they usually last a couple of days.
Well, as of today, I still feel like crappolla. Which now begs the question, is it the treatment, or did I somehow screw up my hip? I’ll be seeing the bone doctor on Monday morning, so I guess we’ll find out. This is also the reason I hadn’t been posting a blog for the past week. I was having a private whine-fest and indulging in a little pity-party. Not quite over it yet, but getting better.
On a positive note, I got the tumor markers the other day and I’m coming in at 2,296 … which is a drop of over 450 from the last testing. This is the blood test taken after the second chemo cocktail of the Kadcyla … so this really holds a lot of promise. I’m looking forward to getting tested in two weeks when I find out what the tumor markers show following the third cocktail.
Plus, my hair is beginning to grow back. How’s that for a novelty?
And remember to repeat after me …“YOU ARE A CANCER WARRIOR”
