Doncha love it when you get that breakthrough? I was at a difficult portion of my WIP and was having a hard time getting my heroine and her two companions out of a sticky situation. All three were nekid (being Weres, when they changed back to their human form, clothes don’t magically appear), trapped in an alley not far from a crime scene. No phone. No money.

How was I gonna get them outta there?

Well … at my writer’s sprint last Wednesday (at which it was only Barbara Britton and I), Barb was able to give me a smashing idea. I won’t reveal it, but it’s going to work beautifully. And it got me out of my hole.

That’s another thing I love about this writer’s sprints. Not only do we get down to work and actually produce, but we’re able to brainstorm and exchange ideas. Sure, I might have come up with some sort of a solution, but Barb’s idea was probably one I wouldn’t have thought of.
